Namaste Friends,
I love reading. The end. JK, haha
When I moved to California from India when I was 7, it was a huge culture shock. So many changes all at once. I remember one of my cousins took us to the library a month or two after the move and we got some books to read and she had given us an assignment, to write a one page summary of what we had read. I remember being lost in that book for about 2 hours. That’s really where my love for books started. I feel like books have given me places to go without having to travel, and it gave me my escape when I was stressed or was going through a hard time.
Before I moved to Jersey, I had boxes and boxes of books that I had read just sitting in our garage since we never had space for them. My dream growing up was to have a mini library and a reading nook. Currently, one of those two have happened(Reading nook), I’m working on the other. hehe. 🙂
Anyway, many of you asked for book recommendations so below are recs, my all-time top favs and the ones you all recommended. My goal every year now is 12 books, one for each month. You would think it’s not a lot until you put a full-time job, 2 toddlers, a blog, and just life into the mix.
